Just looked at the table, 1 win would have taken us into the champions league.

As would a draw with Chelsea.

A draw with Chelsea would've given Leicester 4th place with us 5th on GD, so still no CL.
We needed to beat Chelsea and hope those cunts from north London did us a favour against Leicester.

stewie - Yep, farcical. I mean it's good that they changed the rule that an accidental handball from the assist player doesn't now mean the goal can't stand, but now it's left with what is accidental and how much time passes, etc. Just farcical.

Yeah, all ifs and buts and what ifs over a whole season.

And yes, you are right, 2 points did leave us short.

Amazing though, when you look at the league table we have ended:

In 6th position
9 points behind Man Utd
4 points behind Liverpool
3 points from CL
2 points behind Chelsea
Above Spurs and Arsenal

From where we cam from its barely believable.

at 2-2 with 10 minutes left, mongface Kane committed blatant handball in the build up to Spurs 3rd, so Leicester should have 10 minutes to try to find a winner.

It didn't count as handball because too much time elapsed between the handball and the goal. Some of the rules they've made up this year are farcical.

Once Liverpool were out of champions league and with their fixtures I don't think it was unexpected.

They overtook Chelsea as well not just us and Leicester.

Strange seeing as it's a competition they'd all opted out from.

Don't think so fraser, were 2-1 with 20 left and collapsed. Mental strength and big club mentality definitely plays a part at this level. Look at Liverpool, how did they get top 4?

Russ - All if's and buts of course but the extra 2 pts from Arsenal would have still left us short of top 4, but if we had lost at Spurs instead of 3-3 they would have finished above us.

Crazy stuff.

Especially when you think we threw away a 3-0 lead against the Arse.

It's difficult not to be a little frustrated by that but, hey-ho, every team can look back and say 'what if...'

And when you look at how close Leicester came they must be gutted.

Not going to let it dampen my mood. I am buzzing. Such a great season. When you saw the footage of the players at the end and the unity and respect for each other you can't be anything other than hugely proud.

I thought Fornals and Bowen were excellent. I'm pleased Rice atoned for the missed penalty too.

SAME GOALS AS ALISSON Benrahma stunk the place out when he came on with his erratic shoot on sight policy as per usual. I really hope Moyes bombs him out in the summer while we can still recoup a decent transfer fee.

Truly shocking that he is our third highest ever signing (behind those other chumps Haller and Anderson).

I saw an olive branch or two yesterday but it looks that things are so far gone that we cant even come together and be civil on a Sunday night where West Ham United achieve 6th and it isn't even a distant 6th it's within touching distance of champions league.


Never going to indulge him again. He doesn't deserve attention after that. The more desperate and insulting he gets for it, the more I know I am winning the battle.
